Kate (1 of 1)

poem to self

have you ever caught her smile?

a rhythm entered
her harmony
movement

and moving on
shifted
gypsy to emerge,
a Mehndi ironically encircles
teardrops,
time hovers outside
-suddenly clearly colorful-
past tense

this journey
gently closes her door
completes a circle.
circling a tear
and tearing

have you ever caught her smile?

The poem was written back in 2015.

The photo is one I took of Kate Warrick in 2016- Edited with Lightroom
